Spot On Tuesday

Shower power! Today I have my spot(light) trained on glass stationary shower walls in place of shower doors or curtains.

This idea is something I used in my fourth house years ago in my older daughter's bathroom. The space was tiny and there was a slanting ceiling in the room so a glass panel in place of a curtain or door was the most practical and attractive solution I could come up with.

I have been noticing a lot of these types of stationary shower walls, albeit more decorative and embellished, in place of shower doors lately though - and in rooms that are not nearly as petite as my bathroom was. Here are some examples:

The glass panels also work with tubs....

Have you been spotting these stationary shower walls too? Since I have used this type of shower enclosure before myself, I am clearly a fan of the look. What about you? I have two key pieces of advice for incorporating this feature in your home. One, make sure that the panel is wide enough to prevent overspray into the bathroom. And two, make sure the shower head is fixed so that the spray from the shower head points down and does not get water all over the bathroom floor.

Please let me know what you think of a fixed panel like this in the comments, I would love to know!

Thank you for being here today!

Happy Tuesday,

Kerry

I had those in the past. Sorry not a fan. Made cleaning difficult and a lot of soap scum built up. Although I’m sure they better now.

I get it! A shower head with a sprayer makes a big difference as does a squeegee after each shower
